MARSA ALAM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
AN ALERT AIRPORT FOR SAFETY& COMFORT

Marsa Alam International Airport prime concerns are Safety and Passenger Comfort, we do implement the standards of the international Air Transport Association -IATA- such as; short walking distances, smooth passenger circulation and optimum service times and shortest check-in times and queues. As for safety and security Marsa Alam International Airport adheres to the rules of the International civil Aviation Organization - ICAO. We do not wait for emergencies to happen. We have ready sets of actions to take immediately when the Airport faces any of those emergencies. It is not only a silent document for emergency procedures. There is always continuous briefing for all parties and personnel who should act during the event of any of those cases. The Airport performs regular exercises simulating those cases to check the viability of the procedures and the readiness of equipment and people to do the job properly. The Airport was a pioneer in executing on February 12th 2004, February 8th 2006, and again in 27th May 2008 a full scale exercise for an emergency. When the emergency was simulated as if it is really happening, with all actions needed to face and eliminate its hazards, appreciation of all Authorities for the success of that exercise was very clear. For all airport staff to be prepared for any emergency incident handling, involving all parties and nearby hospitals, and participation of the Egyptian Air Force to provide assistance in moving of critical cases by air.
